I was a bit mad when I read that quote at the end. It made a great opening line, that's for sure. I guess I'm cool with the loop thing, and wondering what difference the horn will make in Roland's next go-round. It took some time for me to accept the ending and the note from King that said "There, it's finished, now fuck off already!"

I still think the Crimson King should've been ten feet tall and menacing as hell, not some cackling bugaboo.

A ten foot tall menacing and cackling bugaboo! Whats worse then a giant, dangerous crazy dude? Also, I agree with ya about that whole "fuck off already" comment. He must have gotten real sick of the fanatics.. there are SO many, I am just grateful the guy finished it before he kealed over. Like Frank Herbert and Dune.... ARRRRGGGGG!

The series was cannon fodder for many critics, but I, for one, loved it. I'm one of the mad but eager audience that couldn't wait for the next installment.

I too am glad that he finally finished it, but am now left with a void.....

True, true, but the letdown was real nonetheless, and of the millions of other great stories out there, i'm still searching for the 'right' author for me...
